WHAT TO EXPECT
Several different worlds in one place
Rinjani (3726m, Lombok Island) is the ancient power thriving with life.
Its crater lake is huge and neutral, making it suitable for swimming and fishing.
The hike is very intense and involves ascending to the caldera, a strenuous summit assault, a 1000m drop to the lake, a night at the lake, then a full day descent.
Spending 3 full days in exploration of Rinjani is a great idea, and its landscapes are so diverse it's like travelling through several different worlds in one place.
Itinerary
Day 1
Day 1
Departure from Bali by speedboat and road to the hotel on the island of Lombok at the foot of Rinjani, overnight at the hotel.
Day 2
Day 2
Motocross bikes to a height of 1600m, climbing to the camp at an altitude of 2800m, overnight stay until 2 am
Day 3
Day 3
night ascent to the peak of 3726m at dawn, descent to the crater lake. Fishing, bathing in hot springs, camping overnight by the lake

Day 4
Day 4
return to civilization through a picturesque valley, crossing to Bali, return home.
